British Columbia Forest

Hiking in beautiful British Columbia offers breath taking adventures trough the forests of Western Red Cedar carpeted with sword ferns and an variety of moss.  This picture was taken on a hike up to Bridal Falls, East of Chilliwack, BC.  The trees range from young saplings to 100 year old matures.  Western Red Cedar is one of the best trees to use in building a log structure, as they are a strong species that have a long life span.

The technical information about this shot –  Taken with a Canon 80D  and  Sigma 10-20 f/3.5 lens.  The sun was breaking through at the top of the photo which naturally gave this amazing shadowing, bright effect.  The lens view created a wide and pyramid shaped image that endorses the magnificence of BC’s stunning forests.
